Since 2016, CYIM has been a long-term partner of the European Society of Cardiology in the organization of their certifications, helping the community set-up 15-20 exams per year alongside their congresses.
Thanks to its understanding and knowledge of the Society, CYIM quickly offered a suitable solution : turn the onsite exams into online certifications with a guarantee of safety and control to keep a highly qualitative level of certification.
Review
An increase of potential candidates and a rise in the popularity of certifications :16 exams for 1.700 candidates in 2019 - 21 exams for 3.050 candidates in 2021 / 91% of satisfied candidates with the format of the exams / innovative tools to ensure certifications’ safety and control.
Context
Covid-19 is coming massively to Europe beginning of 2020. The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) organizes 15 to 20 exams/certifications per year in parallel with its congresses. They were all cancelled for the year.
Not being able to meet, assist in medical events and to onsite examinations, CYIM had to rethink the format & delivery of certifications.
Online and proctored certifications quickly appeared to be the appropriate solution.
We kept our existing platform as it was working well and chose to quickly answer to their main need in a case of online exams: adding more security and preventing the cheating. Two keywords for this new solution: Data security and control.
From now on, a candidate can take an exam, from home, using CYIM’s tools while being monitored. The medical community can also follow the exam through a customized dashboard.
This new format enables the society and us to build a reliable and constantly evolving database which nourishes itself from permanent feedback.
